Summary:

Faith is as faith does and if it doesn't, it probably isn't. But the pathway to a thriving faith is desperate dependency on God. James says that God has chosen the poor to be rich in faith. Here's what that means to me: I don't want to be big without being broken. I don't want to be victorious without being desperately dependent upon God. I don't want to be rich in the eyes of people and miss being chosen by God. I don't want to be known as a success if I am not known as a friend of God.
