Dan’s Voting Guide

On Tuesday, we go to the polls to elect the next president of the United States. But perhaps more important than who we vote for is how we vote.

This week’s Go Deeper is all about keeping our joy and keeping our focus in the midst of a tumultuous political process. Here is how you can take action this week:

WATCH DAN’S VOTING GUIDE

As you listen to Dan’s 10-part voting guide, pay attention to which one or two really stick out to you as something you needed to hear. Maybe you’ll be reminded of a situation in your life, or a certain political conversation that you had recently.

Jot down a few notes if you need to so that you can continue in prayer.

A GOOD PRAYER TIME

Take 10-20 minutes to sit before the Lord in prayer.

  • Ask for strength to grow in the areas that surfaced while watching the video.
  • Pray for your neighbors during this time, that political strife wouldn’t burden their core relationships, but that this unusual week might turn into new opportunities for conversations that wouldn’t have normally occurred.
  • Pray for the church, that no matter what the outcome of the election, the Church of Christ would be even more unified, not less, at the end of the week.

Here are some resources to connect to God in prayer.

While you read, pray, and ponder these truths through the week listen:

 REACHING YOUR NEIGHBORS

There’s a new FYM HQ track! It’s called “When it’s hard to invite.”

Sometimes taking that step to invite your neighbors can feel like a doozie. This growth track will help you overcome your fears and move out in faith and confidence towards those around you.
