Bridget Zigler

Local Impact & Front Yard Mission Assistant
I serve full-time at Calvary as Local Impact and FYM Assistant. I very much consider myself to be a people oriented person and love building meaningful connections within the community and church. I feel that the current role I serve at Calvary is definitely suited for my personality and I am blessed to have the opportunity to continue to grow within my position here. As a mom of two amazing girls I spend a-lot of my time outside of work with my daughters. They are definitely my pride and joy and God has shown me so much about myself, through them, which has been an incredible gift. I consider myself so blessed to be part of this church and organization and the mission to serve others.

What brought you to Calvary?

We first moved to State College in December 2021 when my oldest daughter came into contact with covid at her school in Lewistown. What was supposed to be a temporary stay at my aunt and uncle's to quarantine during that time frame, turned into God rerouting my life in a whole other direction. During one of the most challenging years I have had to face, I simultaneously began to build this incredible relationship with Christ and learn of the unconditional love he has for us. I believe God shines his light in our darkest times of need and meets us there. He pursued me relentlessly with compassion and grace, never leaving or forsaking me. What an amazing thing to experience and know, that our God never abandons us; that His love endures forever. I truly believe during that time he began to put on my heart the willingness and desire to serve and be involved in ministry.

What is your favorite thing about serving at Calvary?

The environment and foundation that Calvary is built on- loving people well and being a church without walls. The "heart" of Calvary is what I first felt when I started attending here. A church that strives to consistently love, serve, and embrace the community. I feel so fortunate to work with an incredible group of people that I consider family, that support me and help build me up. Going to work each day is a blessing and something I look forward to. I love a challenge and embrace the work God is not only doing at Calvary, but within my heart as well through working here.
