My first encounter with the presence of God was in 2018 when I was invited to attend an Easter Worship Service at Calvary. God met with me at that service and it was “life changing”. By 2020, I made the decision to give my life to Christ through baptism at Calvary. By 2021, I was seeking more of God with all my heart and was filled with the Holy Spirit. At that point, all I wanted to do was serve the church in any area that I could. I loved to clean and Calvary was looking to hire someone for that exact type of work, and in God’s perfect timing I was hired at Calvary! I’ve covered a multitude of areas since then from janitorial, to coordinating reservation requests, to staff scheduling, to Administrative Assistant, to Central Office and Facilities Manager, to writing devotionals, to hosting online worship services, to serving on a Mission trip in the Dominican Republic! I’ve felt the leading of the Holy Spirit in every one of those shifts! 

I have three teenage sons, Aden, Ashten, and Alten, all who are walking alongside me in this walk of Faith. I can say from experience that the most powerful way of building a trusting relationship is one based on the word of God and the true love of God through the leading of the spirit, not the flesh. It takes intentionality and patience to hear from the Lord in this way. 

My favorite thing about Calvary is the sincere mission to bring unity between the local churches in a pursuit to build the Kingdom of God just as it says in the bible – John 13:34-35.
