Please pray for my brother, Bernie. His multiple myeloma has recurred. This is the third rare cancer probably from agent orange. Bernie and his wife Judy live in South Carolina but they found a specialist at the U of Penn who mmay be able to help. Please ask God to be powerful in their situation. They are planning to move back to PA to be closer to family and for medical care. Please ask God to bless the selling of their home, the move and finding a new home. Update. "Gram's" surgery was postponed to Thursday, Feb 13
Please continue to pray for my neighbor Abbye. Her pain has become nearly unbearable. She’s had more tests and a polyp of unusual size pressed against her cervix was found. She’s scheduled to have surgery on Friday to remove it, but the doctor isn’t optimistic the removal will result in any reduction of pain. Pray that Jesus would touch her mind and soul with His healing comfort. Pray that the doctor is wrong and the surgery will put her on the road to recovery. She’s become more and more open to talking about God’s hand in her situation. Now we need to wait on Him. Pray there is comfort and discovery of life in the wait.
Please pray for “Gram” (as all her foster kids know her). She is having heart surgery tomorrow to hopefully give her more time to live. Pray for her faith too.
For God to bring the knowledge to the medical team I see next week to be able to see what is causing my struggles. To bring me comfort and faith in his plan. Thank you.
I have excellent updates! The bottom line is that the new lesion in the splenium is improving, suggesting some type of inflammatory process and not a tumor! Great news! The third new spot is probably an extension of the original tumor. Recheck in 4 months. Praise the Lord for such a good report!
Please pray for a friend of Bridget Zigler's, an 18 year-old young woman named Riley. Riley has a number of complex medical diagnoses and relies on a total parenteral nutrition (TPN) line. A blood clot developed in the TPN line today resulting in a trip to the ER for Riley. If they have to remove the line it will mean sending Riley home on hospice care. Prayers are appreciated for Riley and for her mother Jess as they navigate the challenges they are facing.
Please pray for Stacey LeVan. She has pretty severe Crohn’s Disease and is currently in the hospital due to some complications that led to severe dehydration. She’s on the upswing and hopes to return home tomorrow. Please pray for a full and quick recovery!
I am heading to UAB in Birmingham tomorrow through Monday for more Dr visits and scans to see if they can determine what tumor number 2 is, Fido… and to determine if there are treatment options. Please for for wisdom, discernment, rest, peace, and trust.
Unfortunately, we didn't get the good news that we had hoped for...there are some new tumors in my bladder. Doctor saw them and scheduled a Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT) surgery to remove the new tumors and take a closer look at some tissue that looks 'odd'. It has been scheduled for Monday, February 24.
I'm still processing everything from this morning, but wanted to provide an update quickly. Thank you for your continued prayers.
